i loved how it embraces the cliche, but I don't think the ending conflict was well done or realistic, and I felt the main character's growth aspect was all over the place. I can pinpoint what she changed to become but for a lot of them, I could not tell you how.

also tbh the main character kinda got too much for me sometimes but that didn't affect my rating, I just wanted to complain about it.

*I Literally Laughed Out Loud.* There were moments where I couldn't contain myself... and those around me asked what was so funny! Elizabeth is dealing with a touch of senioritis - as end-of-term festivities make the hole of her mother's death so present.  She concocts a scheme with her neighbor and childhood friend turned foe ('Can't Buy Me Love' -esque!) to win a prom-posal from a returning hottie. The romance novel tropes are strong with this one... light-hearted fun.
