There are so many stories where traumatic events keep happening one after another and so few stories about what it actually means to live with a traumatic experience. This book feels like something rare and valuable.
The fragmented narration with repetition works so perfectly, it feels like coming straight out of a traumatized person's head.
(I cried for the people in the heart transplant waiting list, there would have been chances for one more live saved.)

I recognized fragments in this, and a familiar rage, but perhaps not so surprisingly, it wasn't entirely the book I needed.

A deeply moving and poetically structured meditation on death, life, grief, fate, and familial love.

Sanoinkuvaamaton kirja. En kykene pukemaan sanoiksi mitään, mitä ajattelin tästä kirjasta tai tunsin sitä lukiessani. Naja Marie Aidt on uskomattoman vahva ihminen pystyessään kirjoittamaan tästä aiheesta. Ajattelen tätä kirjaa varmasti pitkään.
