it's good, the characters are interesting and enjoyable to read. i just found it super underwhelming, the ending felt a bit rushed and was so slow at some points (but i guess that is how it is supposed to be)

This book is absolutely amazing! Everything from the characters to the plot is exquisite.  I loved how to characters developed separately while simultaneously developing together.

I was reluctant to read this book because it just seemed like another "bury your gays" plot. However, the science fiction device of the Death-Cast was what made it interesting to me. This book was thoughtful and profound. I enjoyed the characters, even knowing that they both die at the end.

This book was off to a slow start. Personally, I only really got into it in the last third of the book - this was also around the point were I grew attached to the characters (although I told myself not to considering I knew how it was gonna end!).
I loved how the topic of the book was death and dying but it focussed so much more on living?! I don't know if that makes sense!
Overall, I feel like the book was a bit overhyped. However, I do think that it should be read by everyone once. It really makes you think and puts everything into perspective - living, dying and forming relationships. And be prepared for tears - cause they will come!

This unique story follows two Deckers or people who are destined to die today, as they navigate their last day alive. The characters are so relatable and loveable, knowing that they die at the end makes the book even sadder than if their deaths had been a surprise. This book is about taking chances, taking time to love your people, and becoming who you want to be, not who the world wants you to be.
