I thought I loved the first book in this series — well this one is even better — another quick read but this one is fast paced and jam packed full of tantalisingly raunchy spice — so we kick off the story after Rain is rescued from her own government and military by Wrath — the steam is pretty much instant and our first taste of carnal pleasure is only a few pages in — and it’s pretty much rapid fire after that — not too little, not too much, just right — Rain & Wrath still have that whole love hate thing going on and are the epitome of the team fury fuck — and oh my god it just doesn’t it for — watching wrath soften and struggle with the feelings that are developing between the 2 of them is beautiful as well as a little frustrating — denial denial denial — like just admit it already guys — but never stop fury fucking please — when wrath fucks up — phenomenally — a witch and an oracle convince rain to let chaos (wrath’s brother) through an inter dimensional portal — damn oracles — and once again we end on a cliffhanger — I fucking loved this book — felt all of the emotions — absolutely devoured it — the lead up to the cliffhanger was so well done, I was hanging off every word — throughout the whole book really — but especially for the last few chapters — This is one of those books where I’m super invested in the main characters relationships and personal development — and I am absolutely chomping at the bit to read book 3

I cannot believe the insane gullibility of Rain throughout this. She believes any damn thing every person, witch, demon, etc tells her. To her own detriment.

2.5-3 stars idk I’m waffling

I find it entertaining, and I’m not trying to think too hard about it. Because honestly? It’s a stupidly abusive relationship, and I couldn’t tell you why Rain thinks she loves him outside of there being some kind of influence due to her being the animus. Rain is an idiot and her relationship with Wrath is super problematic, but like I said, it’s fun to read so whatever. Sue me.

The smut only gets better as the story line progresses, I am overall thrilled with how quick and easy these books have been to read, if you're looking for a quick pallet cleanse from more intense novels, this is it. It is not lacking in plot.
