You can definitely see the proto-chainsaw man taking shape. A lot of the supporting characters showing up match CSM characters. The action in this volume is great and although the plot takes on some tropes I generally dislike in stories (religion, blind faith) how they are developed in future volumes really makes it worth sitting through. After all the darkness this volume is fun.
