Those authors are living the dream. My dream. The dream to publish a story, to write a real book, that people pay money for. I'm therefore really honored that the authors of this series will provide me with an arc of their first baby. How scary is that? Asking someone who reads loads to have a look at your book? However, I will be very happy to write reviews for all these book and I am very excited to discover the talent of these new authors!

Hamilton shows in this book that she's an amazing author and I do hope that this book is the start of an amazing career. Her writing style feels so natural and flows so incredibly nicely! If I wouldn't have known Hamilton was a debut author, I wouldn't have guessed. I flew through this book and enjoyed each and every second of it. Not just because it was well written, but also because the plot was lovely and the characters were amazing.

It does help that Hamilton made her starring lady a succubus. I love succubi. I love the possibilities for conflicts, I love the entire mythology surrounding them and I love watching succubi fall in love. And Alexandrite is an awesome succubus. Her lack of experience makes her interesting to read about and I love how her succubus seems like a different personality inside her which creates loads of funny moments making me laugh out loud.

Our leading lady is not the only interesting character in this story though. Even though the book isn't really big, Hamilton really managed to give the three guys in this story their own personality and their own background. All of the guys get their moment to shine and we get some wonderful glimpses of their personal issues and worries. It was therefore quite easy to root for this harem to get their happily ever after!

I can't wait to get my hands on the next one!
