Enjoyable as always, though I do think it would have been a bit easier to follow the details if I'd known the rules of bridge.

Poirot exercises his little grey cells when the slimy Mr Shaitana is murdered, and one of four suspects, all in the room at the time, has to have been responsible. Actually, Poirot's grey cells are never mentioned in this book, but his quintessential psychological deductions solve the crime. Enjoyable, but so very, very dated in its language and portrayal of the casual xenophobia of the British public. Or is the xenophobia so dated? The derogatory expression may be dated but the sentiments can be heard echoed still.

the ending was goos in the sense that it tied everything together but in my opinion it was also bad in the sense it's not what you wanted out of it
I have really enjoyed my journey through Agatha Christie’s mysteries once again. Her books take me back to my teenage years when I first discovered her stories- I devoured all her books and have read them many times through the years. This year I chose to revisit the Hercule Poirot books, as he was always a favourite character of mine. I love his personality and the way Ms. Christie was able to bring him, and all his little quirks to life.
Even though these books were written so long ago, they are still written so well, the mystery and suspense so cleverly woven, that they remain very intriguing reads still to this day. And, even though my reading tastes have matured and evolved over the years, I can always count on a great reading experience whenever I revisit any of Ms. Christie’s work- I still enjoy them, as much as I did the first time. Classic mystery, well done!
