The ending seemed a little less 'grand' than expected, probably because I'd already seen that plot twist coming. However, all in all, a great murder-mystery, and Hercule Poirot does it again. :D
I knew it was Dr Roberts all along! I knew it!!!!

interesting mystery with quite a lot of twists but I didn't find the characters compelling enough for me to care about them

One of my favourite Christies that I re-read after a while. It’s such a rich novel, and much darker than I remember it to be. Not your regular whodunnit.
It was a comfort re-read. But, I was fortunate enough to have forgotten how it turns out and thoroughly enjoyed being gobsmacked by Monsieur Hercule Poirot. Despite Christie being a familiar hand, I was surprised by how much I looked to forward to turning the page and picking it back up from when I was forced to put it down. It's a fun murder, investable characters and for once, she went ham on her own creations and put Poirot up alongside Battle, Col Race and Mrs Oliver. And hands down my favorite is Mrs Oliver! :-p
This was an interesting Poirot, to say the least, there were only 4 possible murderers and all of them were a very strong suspect. I really didn’t know who the killer was by the end!
