The body checking, the last of chemistry, the sex so dry it would chafe (not literally, but it was BDSM and it was boring somehow).

I absolutely loved this book. I loved how Sean and Harper are each dealing with their own addiction in the only way that they can. Sean has been sober for almost 6 months.Harper walks into his life at the tattoo shop where he does he tattoo. Chemistry is instant between these two. But there is so much more between these two then either one of them realize? But in the end is it enough? I absolutely loved this story. It was well written and showed how each of them dealed with the addiction that they had. I cant wait to see what is going to happen with these two since the ending was quite shocking. Really did not see the ending coming the way it did. I cant wait until i can dig into the next one. Highly recommend reading this book, very enjoyable.

3.5 stars rounded up. This book got bogged down In alcoholism and eating disorders. Romances need more of the MCs relationship and less of their relationships with food and alcohol.

I don't like the way men are talking about women. I'm just rolling my eyes a ton here. And when she started purging her food I was done with the story. I couldn't take it anymore. Quick lil DNF here.

MAJOR TRIGGER WARNING FOR BULEMIA/ANOREXIA IN BOOK.
it was ok, I wouldn't get the 2nd one. Only about 200 pages and I feel the second book could have just been added to this. Relationship progressed unrealistically fast, doesn't seem to be a 'look at her and die' sorta thing cause he purposesly left door open when having sex (consentually) which is gross, no one wants to walk past and see you fingering someone. Idk was just a weird book

Wow, just wow

So for some reason I'm late to the Vivian Woods writes such amazing, broken, loveable characters. So this book was suggested to me in an email and I wanted to read it but kept forgetting to download the book and one day I just sat down and did it. Wow, just wow! What took me so long.
Sean who is recovering alcoholic, stumbles across a drop dead gorgeous model and thinks he is falling in love but man oh man his demons runs deep. This book is a two part book that does end in a cliffhanger so do yourself a favor and buy both books at the same time because when Sean falls you will not want to wait to see if and how he picks himself up.

I didn’t have the best first impression of Sean. He was too crude for my tastes. But with Harper he was a completely different person. He seemed fake to me because of that. I loved the amusement park. It was a super fun date. And I liked the club. It was more diverse than any others I’ve read about. I especially appreciated the area where men were only allowed to watch. For the most part, I don’t really ship our main couple. Harper’s storyline kept me engaged the most. But I agree with Sean when he says that Harper is too good to put up with everything he puts her through. And now he’s about to put her through so much more.

descriptionHot cover on this one. Good representation of the hero. Excellent composition and title work as well.description

descriptionThis one was a bit hit and miss for me. While I found myself pulled into the plot and curious about the characters the writing was off for me. It felt clunky and just didn't have a good flow to it. My other issue was, from the blurb it sounded like I was going to get a good dark D/s book, but really what I got was a book weighed down (too bogged down at times) with major issues. Alcoholism. Eating disorders. Abuse.

To be honest, after awhile I just started to skim over the pages and pages of calorie counts, exercise, and fat talk. I wanted less focus on those things and more on the romantic relationship. The above issue stopped me from feeling a connection between these two characters.

So yeah, this started off strong, but by the end, I was struggling to finish it. I will admit I am slightly curious to see what happens with these two characters in the next book. Whether or not I am interested enough to read it remains to be seen.description
