I do have an issue in general with workplace romance where there’s a clear power dynamic. But having said that, I found this book so charming! The banter was so good, the smut was great, and it seemed that the author was able to add a lot to the story of information to the story about secondary characters without going too far into it and making the book longer than it needs to be.

I have never hated a book until now. I’m upset that I wasted my time and money buying this. The smut was so badly written and the characters were all insufferable except for the main characters’ siblings. Rowan isn’t mysterious or brooding, he’s just an asshole.
Spoiler Not to mention that the distort time they kiss it’s basically assault as he corners her after a presentation. Zhara just acts like a child and is really too perky and annoying. The part about Zhara trying to commit suicide was just unnecessary  and seemed like a hail mary to try and get the audience to relate to her more <end spoiler>. DO NOT BUY!!!!

their banter, especially in the first half of the book >>> . also i love how she stood her ground and didn’t forgive him too easily like i’ve read in other books . such lovable, humorous, and diverse characters! 

the declaniris (terms and conditions) crumbs we got in this book were literally 🤌🏽 chefs kiss. i cant wait to start their book!
