This is not worth the hype. Rowan is actually just a terrible human being. While that terrible does come from major family trauma he treats people poorly and nothing in this book oils be possible without tons of therapy for him. He does turn it around towards the very end, but Rowan sucks. Zahra is awesome, I read the book for her. The romance isn’t cute it’s manipulative as hell.
This is literally just Disneyland fanfic, so it was a pretty easy read.
Also Armenia is in Europe. Zahra is described as not being white, but also as being the daughter of an Armenian immigrant and someone of European descent. Maybe the author meant Argentinian? But Armenia is Eastern Europe so all of that was confusing as hell.

This was the best romance book, maybe best book in general, I’ve ever read. This had such well integrated diversity that made it really stand out. The banter was TOP TIER, and there’s literally a scene where the love interest almost dies and he goes feral ?! This book was everything I could ever ask for and more. The best grumpy x sunshine I’ve ever read, and he’s a billionaire who manages an off-brand Disneyland (!!!). I’m surprised to say my now favorite book has 5/6 long sex scenes, who would’ve guessed. The whole story is so well written, it didn’t feel dragged out despite it being on the longer side. Lauren Asher, you’re my new favorite author, I worship you now. The epilogue and the extended epilogue were both perfect, and I loved every single character. Even the alternative cover with the castle has become one of my favorite book covers. I CANNOT WAIT for Terms and Conditions to release, and will be the first person in line to buy it. Please read this book!!

four stars ★! I love every. single. book Lauren Asher has written. Basically this is about Rowan the grumpy and broody boss/director of Dreamland. And Zahra is the ray of sunshine that dreams to be one of the Creators of Dreamland. I'm a soft for every grumpy and sunshine tropes and this has it!

My conerns are this book is too long, a lot of unnessesary narratives, I'm fine with romance with many chapters IF it's a slowburn, but this is not it. But Lauren has way in words that you wouldn't get bored. I repetitively said this on her other books but look, I'm still reading her works.

Second, Rowan is inconsistent. He's inconsistent with his relationship with Zahrah. On-off relationship? If I'm Zahra I'll dumped him, he's not focused and "self-assured". His backstory also, I did not grew attached or felt empathy about it because:
1.) It's not clearly written, it's messed up. 2.) Readers only get the bits of his story, we shouldn't be guessing what's heppening unless it's a mystery/thriller novel, but it's not.

Third, I don't know but sometimes Zahra is an idiot. She's fooling herself, Rowan is inconsistent about her but she's consistent of saying to herself "I wouldn't trust you again" blah blah blah. But then there she goes again, swooning over Rowan. Girl, I can't—.

Though I love how optimitic and creative she is. Though her backstory? I don't think it's nessesary, maybe they just put those for the sake of "spice". Like ✧.* let me add some devastating background history for this girl because she's interely two dimensional and bland. ✧.*

There. I said it. But I'm excited for book 2! Overall I still enjoyed this story, I recommend reading this if you like workplace romance and grumpy and sunshine trope.

Original plot with lovely characters, but it lacked depth as a romance novel in my opinion. I wanted something light to read and this was exactly it. Dialogs were funny at times and I liked how the characters didn't take themselves too seriously (even the grumpy love interest, though I don't know if you can call him the love interest as the story is told from mostly his POV). I think this would make a great Hallmark-type movie. But as a romance novel I must say I have read better ones.
