This was cute but slow. I loved the grumpy x sunshine vibes of the book and how Rowan pretended to be someone else to help out Zahra. But overall the book felt a bit lack luster. The plot just wasn't doing it for me.

I finally got Kindle Unlimited! This happened to be the first book I read on it. Overall, this wasn’t terrible but it was not the most enjoyable. The writing style was difficult for me to look past because it was not well written. Also, the characters were so boring and surface level. However, the banter was FIRE. I love the dynamic between a grumpy, cocky male lead and a snarky female lead who will put them in their place. So good. Unfortunately, that was the only thing I liked about this book. The rest of it was so predictable and cliché that it felt artificial. Also, he fucked up so bad and barely did anything to fix the situation. Personally, I would not have taken him back after that. He did nowhere near enough groveling for what he did. It is up in the air whether or not I will continue with the rest of the series.

I almost dnf’d this. The story just didn’t excite me idk. Maybe I’m in the verge of a slump.

I also think I just may not be into the author’s writing style.

Either way, not my cup of tea!
