Probably 2.5 stars. The characters were okay though the plot was cliched. I just couldn't get over the idea of a skater switching to play goalie on an NHL team.

I really liked this book and found it a really refreshing read. It wasn’t very complicated or unnecessarily long, it was super easy to read, it was sexy and entertaining and fun. I would have liked slightly more build up to the relationship - it would have been nice to show them getting to know one another – but I did like that the book presented it as being the start of a relationship rather than them already being head over heels.
It was a real ‘massage for the brain’ kind of book – it was really relaxing and easy to get through. Just good fun!
Content Notes: Grumpy/sunshine, hockey, bargains/deals/wagers, forced proximity.
Warnings:
Other:, OM drama .

• Thoughts:
I really enjoyed this book, it was a quick listen for me. It was easy to follow, it was entertaining from the first chapter to the last sentence of the epilogue. I loved the characters, the found family within the Hockey Team. It was a terrific start to a new series.
•Narrator Thoughts:
Elizabeth Hart and Joe Hempel are the narrators and they were actually new to me narrators. And I very much enjoyed them. They were great!

this book was fun and I love that Charlie wasn't your typical petite, delicate FMC - she was strong with an ex-athlete's body type. she's ambitious, she's not easily digestible, and she wasn't afraid of making the first move when it came to Duke.
all that said - I wish the pacing had been better. it felt rushed in areas where I wish it would have been a little more drawn out.
overall: I enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quick and sweet hockey romance

this is book one in a hockey romance series - blades hockey and I am now so excited to read the rest. I really liked this book, there’s so much love between the characters and AMAZING spice! I really can’t wait to finish this series!
We follow mmc duke and fmc Charlie who is a sports journalist for a online newspaper which is slowly dying. he boss demands that she has eight days to get a story from a very private local pro hockey placer……duke. duke however hates interviews and being in the public eye however their is something about Charlie that he can’t turn away from just yet.
I loved duke and Charlie soooo much, they were just the perfect fit. they had all the chemistry, steam, banter and literally everything in between! Charlie is 26 and duke is 34 so it’s not a huge gap but we alll know I am a SUCKER for the age gap trope. and with this being hockey and college mixed in, this was just such a good story
