Utter dreck. 

The disclaimer that "Some of the details have been fabricated to protect my identity" is doing a lot of heavy lifting, because this seems to be heavily embellished. I struggle to reconcile the image of a master assassin cooly getting near his targets alongside the man with the emotional intelligence of a squirrel when dealing with his wife and handler. A handler called 'H', if the entire thing wasn't clandestine enough for you.

More than that, the writing is so repetitive that it commits the far more grievous crime of being boring. The hits (why anyone would ever read this) serve as little more than interludes between the incredibly grating home life sections.

I don’t know what I was expecting but it just fell a bit flat for me. The ‘hits’ weren’t interesting in that they started to feel like breaks between the life history plot line
