I love strong heroines who take control of the situationship and Sophia is no exception
Carter is young and in love , so world is pretty much his oyster and he knows how to devour the "pearl" enough to make Sophia purr !!
His golden retriever personality suited the story
I liked it, but sometimes characters became too cheesy
But that's just me
Its spicy, a young stud always at full horny mast, he sure knows how to work it. His honesty is endearing, his obedience I could've loved but "good boy" was giving me icks
Anyway I love JT
4 stars for hard body; soft soul

WHAT TO EXPECT:
✔️ Reverse Age Gap
✔️ Obsessive & Possessive MMC
✔️ Spicy
✔️ Business Rivals
✔️ He Falls First
✔️ Golden Retriever MMC

I will admit that it took me a bit to get into Sophia and Carter’s story. Carter is obsessed with Sophia, who is 15 years older than he is. Carter comes from a family of billionaires and is a playboy, but he also seems to have a lot of vulnerability and childishness after trauma in his youth. Sophia is a divorced single mom of a teenager, trying to navigate a cordial relationship with her ex and the woman he left her for, and a tumultuous relationship with her brother and mother. Once I got into the story, I did find myself invested in Sophia and Carter’s journey. I am giving Beg For Me a rating of 4 / 5 Stars.

DNF @ 20% (but I did skim read the last 30%)

First 20% - I was loving the the older MFC/younger MMC pairing dynamic, where he’s  a feral golden retriever who likes being called “good boy” and she’s reluctant to date again after a shitty ex-husband, but then it got too... dialogue heavy? And the characters were a bit too caricature? I like flirty banter, but I also wanted more plot that far into a 412 page book.

The last 30% was pretty unhinged though. In the right mood I probably would have found it very entertaining.

I absolutely adored Carter! He is the very definition of adorable, smexy, and completely irresistible. He’s got that golden retriever charm; fun, playful, and full of swagger. But don’t be fooled because when it counts, he knows exactly how to take control. He’s not your typical alpha, and that made the dynamic between him and Sophia feel all the more fresh and new.

Their first interactions had me grinning like crazy. Light, flirty, and so unique because of how easygoing and open Carter was. The age gap just added to the appeal, with Sophia trying to keep things in check while he’s already all in. There’s a quiet intensity to his connection with her that builds beautifully as the story unfolds.

The steam in this one is no joke. Uninhibited and intense, it was woven in naturally from the start. It’s not drawn out or teased. When these two come together, it’s raw, electric, and absolutely scorching.

Honestly, I’ve read JTG forever. And I have heard the discourse, but most of the time I find myself able to gloss over some of the issues. But when you’re openly criticized for fatphobia, and then the first chapter of this book was mostly centered on the FMCs weight with the same negative connotations… idk. I just put it down.

Beg For Me kept me highly amused from start to finish. It had me laughing out loud many times. I so appreciated its dark, sarcastic humour. I truly enjoyed this book even though I wasn't overly fond of some things. I loved the relationship dynamic between Sophia and Carter but there were some aspects of it that didn't sit well with me. I loved the chemistry between them and felt that they complemented each other well. The secondary characters were a riot especially Sophia's mother. She was something else. She had me laughing and covering my mouth over the things she said and did. This book was awesome. It was a steamy romp. I'm sad to see this series come to an end and say goodbye to these unhinged characters but man what a joyous ride this book and series has been. I definitely recommend it as well as the rest of the series.

Beg For Me may just feature my favorite McCord brother yet! Carter is beautiful in how he tries his hardest to please everyone around him, never really feeling quite enough for his complicated family. Setting his sights on Sophia Bianco, the man is like a dog with a bone in that he will not give up on wooing her until she knows she won't be able to resist his ridiculous charm. Not minding in the least that Sophia is 15 years older than her, Carter is relentless in his pursuit and it's quite the sight to see as he will stop at nothing and no one to make her his.

Loving these series the way that I have, I have to admit I was a bit put off at how it felt I was dropped into a story already in progress, with no real chance to get to know Sophia, in particular, until much later on in the book. I admired her moxie and her drive as a COO of a competitive company of McCord Media and how she managed to keep Carter at bay for as long as she could until she had no choice but to succumb to his puppy dog ways as his honesty was something she found irresistible.

They have this immediate spark that blows them both away and once Sophia is on board with getting to know Carter better, they venture into a physical relationship quite quickly. And I was great with that especially since Sophia had such a lousy marriage with her ex. But I also have to admit that the whole 'good boy' thing they've got going on, Sophia wielding her dominance over Carter, was kinda cringe. I have no issue with a dom/sub kind of relationship but it almost felt a bit condescending to me, even as Carter loved every minute. She's trying her hardest NOT to think about their age gap yet resorts to calling him a boy as often as she can.

I also have to mention that there is much more than just Sophia dealing with dating a well-known younger man. The woman is trying to put out numerous fires concerning her distant brother and prime caretaker of their incorrigible mother, her teenage daughter, her ex-husband who has suddenly gone overboard about Sophia's life as is own seems to be imploding and who eventually leaves his very young baby mama to fend for herself, showing up on Sophia's doorstep. Not to mention, that her mother is now her responsibility, has two weeks to find a new place to live that is not Sophia's house and yet provides most of the laughs I truly enjoyed.

In the end, it was just too darn much. It was like JT Geissinger felt the need to throw everything at Sophia including the kitchen sink, acting as if her burgeoning and oft-times rocky relationship with Carter didn't bring enough drama. It did tbh and for me personally, I would have liked it better had the focus been truly on Carter and Sophia's love story and not so much extraneous background noise. Sure, the issues with her company and what they ultimately put her through should have been in the mix, but the rest? I just think most of the extra angst simply muddied the underlying storyline.

I will say that I did like Carter and Sophia together and am glad how everything turned out. The way they see the other like no one before was a really lovely part of this book. That a simple touch or a fiery look could soothe even the harshest of moments. Despite what others may think, they are perfectly matched and I can only hope that they find their forever. I'm a little miffed, however, that arc readers don't get the epilogue which I know will certainly solidify the life that Carter and Sophia will begin to build together.

But in the meantime, as much as struggled a bit with Beg For Me, I am still in huge lust with those McCord brothers. With Carter a true gem in the rough who was lucky enough with determination and persistence to find the person who will for sure make it her mission to allow him to shine forever.

3.75 stars.

I am giddy over this book.

I highlighted probably 80% of it- there is just so much quotable material in here.

A little background- I love this author so when book one dropped, I ate it up. Morally grey isn’t really my thing but I’d read this woman’s grocery shopping list. Then I got the ARC for book two and devoured that one, as well. I had to wait *forever* for the third book. The wait between getting an arc, it coming out and then book three being put on pause had me salivating by the time this book made it into my paws.

It was worth it.

This is a reverse age gap. Sophia is on the tale end of a divorce so she’s used to running the show AND an executive at her company. She’s direct and clearly knows where her boundaries are. We love to see it.

Carter’s character was a significant shift in personality. While Callum was BDE and his middle brother had that dark knight vibe, Carter was an emotionally vulnerable himbo. I don’t know how she made his “neediness” charming and not obnoxious but his character was exactly that- charming.

There are usually things that come up in age gap romances that make me have the ick but somehow, Geissinger addressed every one of those issues before it came to pass. For instance, their date at his house, she is very directly like “no- hard line- I’m not into this” about something that comes up and it was beautifully executed.

Anywho, Carter meets Sophia and is instantly transfixed. Our morally grey MMC does some morally grey things to get a shot (surprise- he’s a McCord!) and once he has it, does everything he can to keep it. It’s like ‘Diet Morally Grey’ but it ended up being the perfect bow on this series to tie it all together.

100% will reread this series (I think about the ending of book one once a week) and I will def recommend.

Geissinger, if you’re taking requests, I want Grandmas book.

Thank you so much for the arc VPR! This one fixed a slump!

I giggled, I snorted, and I laughed out loud throughout this entire book, and that was when I wasn’t swooning over Carter McCord. ❤️ Baby brother is EVERYTHING!! I also want to be Sophia when I grow up!! She is the absolute best!!

"He's adorable. Charming, handsome, irresistible, and adorable. What a disaster." - Sophia

Sophia Bianco is a forty-four year old divorcée who has captured the eye of the twenty-nine year old Carter McCord. Sophia may be a high powered COO by day, but she's currently been debating the pros and cons of becoming a bog witch and living a solitary life 😂 Enter Carter McCord who persistently and flirtatiously works on her thoughts about this solo lifestyle. I mean I don't blame her one bit...I felt close to Sophia on so many deep personal levels - between parental emotional trauma, work trauma, and the constant gaslighting from several people in her life...Sophia is still confident and cool under pressure. The kind of woman I look up to 💯 percent!

So, initially Sophia tries to fight the initial young flirt, but Carter's persistent and really good at compliments, and I'm not talking about just saying she's pretty or smart. He’s complimentary and genuine and his enthusiasm is through the roof for everything that involves Sophia. It's contagious to just be in his presence and wrap yourself in all of his sunshine. Sophia just feels better when she's around him and she smiles more when he's around and one of Carter's favorite things is to make her smile.😄

While this entire story is EVERYTHING!! It all came down to the fact that Carter and Sophia were pure magic! Yes, I loved the first two McCord couples, but these two were hands down my favorite McCord couple! If there was a competition, which I'm sure the three brothers would totally hold 😂 Carter would stand out with all the accolades 🙌

The banter between everyone is fantastically witty and spot on every 👏single 👏time 👏 Hence my constant giggling. Sophia's mother, or at least all the zingers about her...I'll just say that I laughed hysterically because...hello relatable. 🙃 Add in a teenage daughter, her ex-husband's ex (don't worry it will make sense), and a few other zany moments and I was a goner for all of the witty banter, especially when Sophia was the queen of cool while her mind was a place of sarcastic gold. I loved every crazy moment in this fantastic book and it was worth the wait.🥰
