I was recommended this and can now say I am grateful for the recommendation !
The credibility of this book for me is honestly up there with other Stephen King classics like The Shining and IT. The plot was classic King, with a fantastically clear era portrayed in the 70s which shined brilliantly with the suspense and fear which came along with the book.
The trio of main characters were strongly written, with a love-hate relationship for almost all three. Although you are clearly rooting for one character, his flaws and actions are clear in the novel making him well-rounded and realistic, tying in nicely with the overall frightening plot.
Highly recommend for those who are a fan of King's work. Or just horror/thriller novels in general.

This is such an amazing book. My dad really wanted me to read it, so I did. It was soooo well written and soooo scary! I'm actually scared of old cars now
Another classic from Stephen King. I'm reading his works in chronological order and, like many of his early stories, Christine is predictable. It is a credit that King can still make the reader uneasy. Through wonderful pacing, he gives the reader hints that are left to fester and create a sense of dread - of impending horror. He makes the reader continue the book in a constant state of inevitability, with no way to change the outcome. That is the horror. Unlike many of his books, I was pleased with the ending. Recommended.

I definitely liked it. Would I have liked more it if it was 422 pages instead of 722? Probably.

Definitely not anywhere near the best King I've read, but I still enjoyed it.
