Great story! I loved how the narration went back and forth in time. Well-written with great descriptions. Themes of feminism, love and family. I expected more about the tiger though.

[🇮🇹👇🏼]
It's a sort of noir, in a way, centered around a boy, Margio, living in a village of Indonesia, who has a white tigress inside himself. And a murder.

It starts from the end and goes backwards, till first and last pages are basically the same. It spans around the people of the village and the boy's family, from Margio's abusive father, his battered then depressed mother, his sister, and backwards still. His parents before getting married, his grandpa and his own tigress.
It does not necessarily go backwards in a linear way, more as elements that come back and go, from different angles, and that's what stood out the most to me, together with all the tidbits of life in rural Indonesia, with its traditions, plants and gambles.
I would have liked to see more of the tigress, and the consequences of having such a rage inside oneself, but he's definitely an author I'll like get back to

TW a pioggia (scene splatter, violenza domestica, stupro, morte)
