Of the Austen novels I’ve read so far, I would probably put it in the last place, but I did end up enjoying it. I had a good laugh with the Ferrars family drama, and I enjoy how… anti-karma Austen can be. Sometimes shitty, selfish people behalf shittily and selfishly, and that works out perfectly for them.

Ahead of its time, not timeless.

Read this imagining I was Elinor but knowing I’m really Marianne in all her emotional glory 😂

A story about sisterhood- there are romance storylines but Marianne and Elinor are the soulmates, and I love Jane Austen for being so ahead of her time in making it so.
