My Kind of Perfect is the first book I've read by Tracy Brogan and, with a writing style which was easy to get along with and a cast of quirky and funny characters.
Overall I liked romance, easy and engaging read in a beautiful setting.

After the breakup of her May-December romance, Lilly is back in Trillium Bay, unsure what to do next. She takes a job assisting at her sister's construction business. There, she develops a friendship with former model Matt. There's an attraction between them, but she's not ready to start dating again.

Things get more complicated when a production company comes to Trillium Bay to film for a few weeks. Hollywood star Jayden chats her up, and Lilly can't help enjoying his attention. Is it wrong for her to spend time with both men while she's getting over her last relationship? Could one of them be her future?

The trouble with love triangles is, sometimes readers end up rooting for the wrong guy. That always seems to happen to me, and it happened again in this book. Apart from that, this is a fun book, just like the first two novels in the series. While it can be read as a standalone, it's probably more enjoyable if you read the series in order.

Lilly finds herself home again after a whirlwind romance with her older boyfriend fizzle out, when the things they want in life are no longer the same. Putting her life back together seems like such an easy thing to do but every one wants her help with something and there is not much left for what she wants. Two men seems to want to spend time with her and she enjoys them both in different ways. An actor and a yoga guru/builder vying for her attention is definitely an ego boost after how things ended woth Tag. She just needs to figure out where her heart belongs. Another great read in the Trilium Bay series and I really enjoyed catching up with the rest of the family.

Things that make you go, hmmm

Why did everyone get to be mean to Lilly? Why did Zen Matt get to give her the cold shoulder while she stayed back and pined for him? I was frustrated for most of this book. While I still enjoyed the general Tracy Brogan small town vibes and hilarity, I'm not sure why Matt wouldn't want to stand by Lilly when she's hurting and the town is against her. Sure he'd been hurt before, but everyone was talking bad ABOUT HER TO HIM. He couldn't tell them to mind their own business? Instead of making me miss romance, this one made me happy I'm single.

I loved everything about Lilly’s journey back home. In hopes of finding herself along with finding her perfect life.

What a fantastic ending to this trilogy. This was an fun, easy read where Tracy Brogan created an entire new world that I just wanted to be a part of. I just couldn’t put this book down. It was my favorite one of the series. I wish there were more books in this series.

This is a fast, light-hearted book that I would recommend if you are looking for a beach read for the day. Lilly returns to her small island of Trilliium Bay off the coast of Northern Michigan after a split. Currently jobless and homeless, she moves in with her grandmother and begins working on odd jobs for her sister. There, she connects with Matt who also works for her sister. Matt is laid back and even=keeled and she thinks there could be something there between them. However, the filming of a movie brings an entire cast and crew to the island and the mega-star, Jayden, catches Lilly's eye. The two begin hanging out and it leaves Lilly confused about her feelings about both Jayden and Matt.

This is a great summer read. I loved the setting as it reminded me very much of one of my favorite places, Mackinac Island. It has that perfect small-town feel. While at times over the top, the movie people provided ample entertainment. I liked Lilly's family and am interested in exploring their back stories. Lilly wasn't my favorite as I couldn't relate at all to her decision making, and am definitely not a huge fan of a love triangle, but I really liked Matt and his sweet, calming feel. He was a definite cinnamon roll hero.

Overall, I would say if you are looking for something light and fun to read then this is your book. While it is the third in a series from Brogan it can definitely be read as a standalone. I will continue to read more of her books in the future.

Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake for an ARC of this book. The opinions here are my own.
