I enjoyed this overall and think it’s worth a read. There were parts of the story that I really, really loved and was surprised by, but I wish we could have seen a little bit more
of the relationship between Libby and Dylan. It felt like a lot of them becoming friends and falling in love happened in scenes that weren’t in the book or were just mentioned in passing. I just wish we could have seen a little more!
This book was also much sadder than I anticipated, but there was a lot of hope and joy throughout that was a good balance for the sad and bittersweet parts.

Sweet and easy read. Perfect palette cleanser when reading something heavier.

Heartwarming story perfect for middle of the night bottle feeds, but not as beautiful as her first novel, The Last Chance Library. Still recommend it for anyone looking for an easy but enchanting read about love, loss and life.

I loved the first half of this book and was thoroughly enjoying reading it until I got half way through.
perhaps I’m overly sensitive to it right now because I’m at a point in my life where everyone I know is getting pregnant or trying or has kids and won’t shut up about it but I think the pregnant storyline is so cheap and such a boring way to keep a story going. I also didn’t care for the graphic detail at which the character was learning about her pregnancy.

Alas, I finished it because I was invested in the story with Frank and would have been happy with just that and maybe how Libby moved on in life. I would have rated higher if it weren’t for that plot line.

I’ve been sitting on this review for a few days because I wanted to think on it a bit.

I read this on my kindle and I usually only read on my kindle before bed so I don’t read as fast as when I listen to my audiobooks. But I looked forward to reading this every night. It was my favorite read of the year.

This book is warm and fuzzy and a little sad but more in a pull your heartstrings way than anything else. It made me laugh and it made me a little teary-eyed.

The cast of characters is super diverse: a woman with Down Syndrome, an old man with dementia, a guarded punk dude with a mohawk, and a woman trying to get pregnant via IVF. Plus, it takes place in London!
