This book was a waste of my time and put me in a reading slump I still haven't recovered from (I read this in January/February). I honestly think this was Wattpad published. In this book we follow a girl who's a siren and she's not like other girls because she hates being a siren and she fell in love and other girls can't do that. It was honestly the mopey-est writing ever and it made me so uncomfortable how the Ocean was personified to be like a mother/clingy girlfriend/boss. If you want to read something of Kiera Cass's, stick to The Selection and don't put yourself in a slump like I did.

This is a very sweet story that requires the reader to suspend their perception of reality and believe in true love and love at first sight.  I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it, but I don’t have much criticism either.  Middle school me would have loved it.
