I have been finding these types of books didactic and no fun but this book is different - maybe because of the illustrations and it showed the children having fun while also being kind and helpful.

"I want a kind world. A world where kindness passes from one to another."
Acts of kindness return to a little girl when she does not expect it. A lovely story.

A followup to The Proudest Blue from Olympic Gold Medalist Ibtihaj Muhammad and it's Picture Day for Faizah, Asiya's younger sister. But for the sibling photo, everyone matches but Faizah and Asiya. What are the sisters to do? This beautiful book warms my heart. I love the illustrations and the color. I love the diversity throughout and the dreams of the girls for a kind world. Really great book for the classroom and a diverse home library.

I prefer "The Proudest Blue," but I also enjoyed this one. I loved how kids explored what they viewed as the perfect/ideal world, and the central character chose a kind world. The book then explored how people can be kind in small ways. I loved the diversity presented her and the capturing and normalizing of Hijab wearers. A great addition to The Proudest Blue. Simple theme, but loved the message.
