Mouths, the illustrator thinks. Imagine the mouth that invites the body of another. It could be an act that instigates pleasure or it could be an act that inaugurates pain.

Compelling. Captivating. Confident. I don't know how many times I'll find myself rereading this one. It seems like everything about it keeps drawing me back in for another journey across time and space.

And I'm extremely grateful to the writer. Her conviction to create a hybrid sci-fi narrative that's clean but complex, contemporary but ancient inspires me to one day write and publish my own alternate endings and such. Thank you so much for this gift, Lindsey Drager.

what is this??? seriously what a strange experience, im obsessed with this little book and everything it did.

most likely this is not going to work for most people. its about storytelling and siblings and queerness and ostracization and families and death and futility and history and repeating motifs and echoes and time collapsing in on itself, 10/10 do not recommend
