This book had some good elements. The plot and the tropes were good but I feel that the storyline in general was a bit wonky. The smut was great tho

Like, they both needed something from each other and knew from the get go about what they'd gain, great, so they make a deal. But then she changes her mind so fast and declines. But Huxley makes it so she has to take the deal. And then she hates him so it's like an enemies to lovers which is great. And then they both are obviously in love but are being obtuse about it - miscommunication trope - which is okay. And then they get really together and then they fight? or break up? or whatever and then he proposes?

The fact that bothers me the most is that he proposes, but okay
Good read

a lot of aspects of this book were unrealistic but not in a bad way. it was cute, fun, spicy, and actually really funny

A perfect rom-com! The banter was sharp, hilarious, and genuinely had me laughing out loud - especially the class scenes, which had me in tears. The fake dating trope paired with a “he falls first” dynamic? Chef’s kiss. The sister relationship added surprising depth and was beautifully written. My only complaint is that the ending felt a bit rushed. I would’ve loved just a little more time with these characters before the final page. Still, an absolute delight of a read!
