A Not So Meet Cute

Chipotle ad with a love story attached to it. I think that covers pretty much everything.

Lottie and Hux have a cute ish story, and I had a hard time putting it down. It was amazing up until the end when Huxley snaps at Lottie and she (rightfully) walks away, and his attempt at reconciliation is a panic proposal. That’s extremely manipulative and I’m disappointed that Lottie, who up until that point stands on business with everything except Huxley, just falls apart for. It isn’t the sweet moment it was intended to be, it just comes off as Hux realizing he’s losing Lottie and not knowing what else to do other than lock her to him so she can never leave.

Not the most thought provoking book but exactly what I needed!!
Team Huxley❣️

Another great one.

if i could review less than one star i absolutely would
the characters were whiny and dickish and every one of them got on my nerves
their relationship was under-developed. the switch from hate to love made no sense and frankly the sex scenes were just cringy
the effort it took to get through this was herculean especially where he fucks everything up. will forever believe she shouldn’t have taken him back but whatever. atrocious truly

Why was this book so good?
It gives me the feels. It cracked me up and I even had happy tears at the end. I loved it.
Lottie is amazing and funny and I just had a great time getting to know her. And Hux. SIR. He’s just an edible grumpy man who is a big softie at heart. Loved him!

I’m excited to read JP and Kelsey’s story

Not sure what to say except...eh. Fake engagement tropes are fine but fake pregnancy tropes tend to piss me off, especially when it doesn't really add anything to the story. That part should have just been taken out, it wasn't necessary in my opinion.

I started out thinking I was going to hate this because honestly the characters were just irritating me but they did grow on me...kind of...like a fungus. Didn't hate it, didn't love it. The spice was decent. So just, eh.

2.5 stars~ Its a reread for me. The first time I read to book I loved it. But this time I find Lottie so annoying. She is 28 years old but acts as a 18 year old. She is payed 30k and she is complaining about her situation every chance she gets? And its not a lot she had to do, she needed to pretend to be Huxleys fiancée for a few hours. She moved into his mansion, got clothes and food… And she hates him because he is cold. She also has a masters degree in business but doesnt have any understanding for businesses. Like not even a simple understanding. And also Lottie knew that Angela is toxic so she didnt see it coming that Angela would fire her? I did find it a funny book like there were funny scenes. I just didnt like Lottie. She is self-centred and immature.

A cute quick read! Fake dating? Yes. Enemies to lovers? Yes. BILLIONAIRE who needs to realize work isn’t everything? HELL YES.

Every mid/bad review I’ve read is hating on the FMC so I took it upon myself to hate on the MC
