This is such a funny and light story. Enemies-to-lovers troupe, age-gap, hot, handsome billionaire mc with a mix of fake engagement are absolutely my cup of tea.

I tried to go into this just by the vibes, but there were parts SO unbelieve (even for a rom-com) and the personality of the characters (are they 12 y/o?)
I was ready for this book to end, I feel like I didn't need of this story at like 40%

I just, simply, could not. I think I read maybe 40%? before dnf-ing. The FMC is supposed to be 28 with an MBA, and yet she has the maturity level of an 18 year old just finishing high school. The level of unprofessionalism she exhibits in situations where it’s so easy to be professional is just absurd. And her playing the victim card when her toxic friend fired her is just so ridiculous. Like, girl, you’ve known how this “friend” behaves based on the years and years she’d be on and off, and has proved time and time again that she does not care. I truly was excited for this book but knew I had to dnf after I found myself getting irritated in real life anytime I’d read this book.

A Not So Meet Cute
by Meghan Quinn
4/5⭐️
I was in the mood for a laugh-out-loud romantic comedy, and A Not So Meet Cute exceeded my expectations. It has some fun tropes like fake dating, clever banter, and a charming yet grumpy billionaire. This marks my third book by Meghan Quinn, and I must say, her writing is quickly becoming a favorite of mine.
The dynamic between the main characters, Huxley and Lottie, is the real heart of the book. Huxley is your classic callous billionaire who approaches life with logic and precision. Enter Lottie, a sarcastic, totally chaotic woman who flips everything upside down. Their personalities clash in the best way, creating banter that’s both hilarious and charming.
Although I liked the fake dating trope, there were some awkward and over-the-top moments. And it would not be a Meghan Quinn book if I did not talk about spice. There’s a lot of it! The chemistry between Huxley and Lottie is undeniable, and their steamy moments are intense. If you love enemies-to-lovers energy with a splash of fake relationship chaos and a whole lot of heat, this one’s for you.
