Meghan Quinn has been one of my favorite authors since I started reading romance books back in 2015 and my love for her work hasn’t wavered since. Sure, it’s been a while since I’ve read on of her novels but that’s simply because I wasn’t in the mood for a romance book (I’m a total mood reader!). So, getting back into her novels is like visiting an old friend.
A Not So Meet cute is a fresh and funny book that incorporates both the fake dating trope and the enemies-to-lovers trope. I enjoyed the banter (Meghan writes the BEST banter) and how Huxley and Lottie very slowly developed feelings for each other despite the contract that kept them as associates only. Huxley though did come off as a jerk and it took me a while to warm up to him but in the end, I did enjoy his characters especially when he showed off his true character. Lottie of course was my favorite as she’s sassy, smart mouthed, down to earth, and has a winning personality. She certainly brought Huxley to his knees, and I loved her take charge attitude.
If you’ve enjoyed Meghan’s novels in the past, then this is definitely one that you’ll also love. She has a special way with bringing her characters to life and making them super relatable to her readers. Not only that, but the humor in her novels is also top notch and I laughed quite a bit while reading this one. Obviously, I recommend it!
