I definitely massively enjoyed this book. I love learning more about this history period. I intend to read all of the queen books. I learned a lot! I think the book could have been a little shorter.

My, this was not for me... It had nothing to do with the style of writing, because I blew through the first few chapters, but once Katherine is cast aside, it is a non stop... Feeling sorry for herself fest. And after anoint one hundred pages I was done with that, but then I had some 150 pages to go. And those went sloooooooow.
I will try Anne Boleyn. But if that books annoys me as much as this one did, i give myself leave not to finish

Another well researched and entertaining read from Alison Weir! I love her novels. It’s been said that reading can transport you to a different time and place. I was grateful to escape the 2020 corona virus quarantine and visit sixteenth century England to view life through Katherine of Aragon’s eyes.
Opening with Katherine, daughter of King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella of Spain, traveling to England in anticipation of her marriage to Prince Arthur, the next in line to the throne and ending with Katherine’s death at Kimbolton Castle in Huntingdonshire, I was captured by Katherine’s courage, loyalty, and faith.

Maybe a little less than four stars, they were portions that were a bit of a slog, and many of the characters ran together because of similar or identical names, it was kind of hard to keep things straight, but I enjoyed it enough to consider reading the next book in the series.
