The spice is SPICY, and there's a lot of it! Leon is a fun POV, but his biggest flaw is his fascination with the FMC, Raelynn, who's just about as terrible as her name. Towards the end I was actively skipping her non-spice chapters because I found her that completely insufferable. The other books look like they have more compelling, less stubborn to the point of being stupid FMCs so I'll probably give those a shot.

I am struggling with this one. Maybe I’m not a dark romance fan? I gave it four stars because it had all the elements of a great book, and I didn’t dislike it.. but it just didn’t wow me. I wanted more substance and plot. I know it’s a dark romance but it was sooooo long. I just expected more substance for the amount of pages.
Essentially, there is a magical town full of witches and demons and the FMC fights to keep her soul from a sexy demon and vengeful god.
I already have the next two in the series, so I will read them, but I’m not jumping to. There was no cliffhanger which was nice. Each book in the series is related but standalone and can be read in any order.

It was entertaining. The drama was crazy, there was witches, demons, talks of sacrifice, a grimoire, and some cemetery fun with a demon. Leon was my favorite.
