This book was exactly what I was looking for! Fast paced, dangerous, romantic, atmospheric and with some amazing emotional smut scenes! I was hooked from the prologue and now I can’t wait for the rest of the series to be released in matching editions, because I need more of this!

So good!! Harley Laroux has already become an author I adore despite this being my first encounter with her!

The worldbuilding really drew me in. I love anything eldritch usually so this was right up my alley. A bit of soft cosmic horror… as a treat!

This book!! Loved Leon and Rae. As a rule, I always think of every character I read about/see as bisexual (unless the story explicitly establishes their sexuality) so imagine my absolute fucking DELIGHT when I find a book with an interesting premise, all the fun (hard) kinks, AND bisexuals galore!

Adored it. Can’t wait to read Juniper and Zane’s story next <3

Maybe I read this at the wrong time of year (I recommend spooky season) or maybe it was just missing something.

In theory, I love the plot of this book and the spice, in actuality I felt a bit bored and meh through the whole thing. I don’t like Rae (irritating fuck) and Leon’s feelings felt so insta lovey and unjustified. I would’ve liked to have dived deeper into the mystic and I feel like that will be more in the next book (I hope). Will be continuing the series but this had been an anticipated read that kinda fell flat

3.5⭐️ I really thought this was gonna be as good as everyone said because of how hyped it was on Bookstagram and Booktube.

My expectations of this book was disappointed. It had a great plot but most characters were underdeveloped and was telling future stories of other books that were soon to come out.

The chemistry was also mediocre at best it didn’t push any buttons for me the spice was at least
