This book is intense, dark, and feral, and I absolutely loved it. The cult's sinister activities kept me on the edge of my seat. Rae and Leon are incredibly attractive, and their connection is both instant and intense. Their relationship embodies a longing that many people crave while also prompting questions about where things went wrong in seeking it. If you enjoy dark and gritty stories, this book is perfect for you.

I had to take constant chapter breaks to just get away from the fmc, she was exhausting and absolutely should have been unalived multiple times.

This was such a ride. I really enjoyed this book. It’s dark, atmospheric, eerie, and yes… the smut? Absolutely smutting. Like, whew, girly, I was bothered in the best way. One of my favorite parts was how genuinely scary it got at times. Not just the dark romance elements, but the story itself had some creepy, unsettling moments that gave me chills. I loved the variety of demons and magical creatures, and the worldbuilding especially the explanations of hell, demons, and magic was fascinating.
The reason I didn’t give it a full five stars comes down to two things. First, I found myself getting really frustrated with the main character. So much of the awful stuff she went through could’ve been avoided if she’d just made the deal with Leon earlier. Instead, she kept pushing it off, and it made me want to shake her. Second, the ending wrapped up a little too perfectly for me. After all that darkness, I expected something messier. On top of that, while the book was long, some of the big climax moments felt a little rushed.
But overall, I had such a good time with this one. It’s very, very dark (definitely check trigger warnings), but if you like eerie horror mixed with filthy SMUT, this hits the mark. I can’t wait to pick up the next book!

Really loved the story, plot, and structure of this book. It flowed quite  well and I genuinely enjoyed my time reading it. I do have some things I didn’t like, but nothing so great that I wouldn’t recommend it.
