Slow start but I really liked the dynamic between the FMC and MMC. Supposed to be mortal enemies to lovers in a 7 book series so I was a little disappointed the lovers part happened so fast. With that being said, I love their banter and how they feel about each other, just wished it would’ve happened in another book.

Listened to this one on Audio. The narration was really good. Loved it and can’t wait to listen to the next one.

I wanted to like this book, I saw so many people praise it, but now I developed trust issues.

Dianna was annoying me to the point where I wanted her to be injured, so she’d shut up and stop saying how ‘strong, powerful, sexy and great of a fighter’ she is. We get it. The author always tells us when I’d prefer her to show us. The main character was trying to be funny, but it landed flat more times than not. Also, it’s necessary to be reminded 100 times that she’d burn the world for her sister. Girl, the realms are sealed, what would you do in the burnt world?

The plot was dragged out, the pacing was jumping from descriptions of them just walking around and chatting to action, action, action. Can we keep it smooth, please? The map in the start was huge with countless names only for us to hear only a few. The ending was predictable, I’m not gonna lie. When I was halfway through the book and telling my friend the plot, she predicted the ending in three secs.

On the other hand, we have Samkiel or…Liam. Couldn’t he choose a better name? By default, he’s the most powerful living but what a pity, he’s suffering from guilt and trauma. But don’t worry, it will disappear when our cool girl aka Dianna is around. Because they decide it’s such a great idea to share your trauma with your sworn enemy!! I thought he was supposed to be smart? I have a question, though, if our main characters are so mighty why are they getting their ass handled, like half the times…?

If I ever lose my memory, please make this one of the first books I get to re-read.

1 million stars.

I DEVOURED THIS BOOK!! I love how the FMC is such a baddie that is fueled by the love for her sister and pinky promises. When the enemies become lovers?! Like, what is going on?! Dianna is super funny and she uses that to shield her fear for losing the important people in her life. She is always putting others first though, which I hope she changes and puts more value on herself because she deserves that! And Liam over here acting like he doesn’t care, but he literally cares too much about Dianna. I just love the broody/funny dynamic of this couple. Definitely will be reading more of this series for sure!

Actually, yeah I’m obsessed.

I can’t lie, I would read before bed eyes literally closing on me and then when I did sleep was dreaming about this world. I want to be Dianna.

I read this as my first immersive read (bc I was clawing my way out of a slump), and the experience was chefs kiss BUT I don’t actually rate the narration. 100% going to continue the series without the narrators voice on my ear hole - I just know it’ll make Samkiel so much better.

This freaking book! This book has lived rent free in my head since i finished it and it's safe to say that this book is on my god tier list of books. The betrayal from this ending???? Absolutely insane. I can't wait to see what's in store for Dianna and Samkiel in the rest of this series. It's safe to say that I am scared and excited for what's to come in the rest of this journey.

ngl the first 60% of this was rough to get through, so many names, species, countries and worlds to remember

but then we get “and it was at that moment i decided i would rip the world apart for her”
