Again, I think 3.5 Stars is a good rating for this book. Being familiar with western Michigan, this was an enjoyable read for me. I was reminded of visiting my brother in Battle Creek and smelling the cereal (burning?) in the air. Was it the Corn Flakes or Grape Nuts? I think we all agreed it was the Corn Flakes! Marjorie Post became a very wealthy woman and a philanthropist after a childhood of humble beginnings. I might be interested in reading a biography about Post, her career and her philanthropy endeavours, this historical fiction story was a bit heavy on the fiction.

I really really enjoyed this book! Before reading it, I actually didn’t know about Marjorie Post. Such a well-written historical fiction novel about such an incredible woman in US history.
