It's actually incredibly easy to figure out who the murderer is in Hercule Poirot books, you just put him in a room with all the suspects and whoever he's most attracted to probably did it

I picked this up at random but honestly didn’t really care for it.  There was detailed settings immersing you into the world but there was no character development, the overall plot fell flat, and it was incredibly misogynistic.  There were also some terms through I that I didn’t like and while it might have been published 2001 it’s still pathetic.  Honestly, I was just waiting for it to end.  I only finished it out of spite.

This felt very victim-blame-y ??? When they’re discussing the girl who was murdered, they bring up that she was ‘mature for her age’ (Poirot used the word ‘sexy’… she’s 12-13) and said that could have been partly to blame for why she was killed. Mrs Oliver also said she didn’t like her and found her to be boastful and annoying, to which Poirot says ‘the personality of the victim is the cause of many a murder’. There was another comment earlier when two kids were caught making out and Mrs Oliver noted very unnecessarily that the 12 year old girl’s chest was well developed for her age……

How was this written by a woman?
