Couldn't put it down. Hope we don't have to wait as long for the next one. Great ending.

This book was a great ending to a great series. I wish we had more time with Alex but did enjoy the book. I did very much enjoy the whole series.

I really enjoyed this book! The mystery and the pacing kept riveted. And the ending, didn’t see that coming!

I am so hooked on the Alex Craft novels! Alex is searching for someone to teach her more about her powers and she is sucked deeper into the world of the fae. A great series if you're in the mood for Urban Fantasy filled with the fae.

Doing a great job with this series! Every book has a different enough focus to keep things fresh. This book is strong on its own but ties nicely back to earlier books with just enough references to orient you. I really hope there are more to come.

Since this took place almost entirely in Faerie, I missed seeing Caleb, Tamara, and the rest of the gang. But this also wrapped up quite a few loose ends, so it was great! I'm very excited about
Spoiler the Mender's influence coming into the land of Faerie
I think it will lead to some interesting happenings in the next book. And, of course, awesome ending.

This was great. Finally my want has been realized
Spoiler The Winter Queen is dead, does any one else feel like singing "ding dong the witch is dead".
This seems like a great wrap up only there is no wrap up or epilogue and we know that there is another book so something will happen. Also we still have another couple of bad guys though they are not part of the same court right? But that will have to be resolved but now we get at least one part of Alex's life resolved.
Spoiler She and Falin will not have to bow to the queen ever again and he no longer is beholden to someone that will hurt Alex. Yea!
So loved it.

My review and an extended sample of the audiobook are posted at Hotlistens.com.

I really love this world that Kalayna Price has created. It features mostly witches and fae. Alex Craft is our main character and is a grave witch. She can raise shades of the dead to help police find out what happened to them and other things.

In this one, Alex has to help the Shadow Prince and the Winter Queen solve a murder of a member of Shadow Court that takes place in the Winter Court. Then there is Death’s boss, The Mender, has his own agenda for Alex. Oh, I can’t forget that his father is up to something too. The poor girl is pulled into so many directions in this book (actually, that might be everybook). A lot happens in this book and it ends with a lot of changes in store for the next book.

This is a fun urban fantasy. If you like investigations and fae politics, then this is the series for you. The characters are a lot of fun and the worldbuilding is complex. I’m not sure how long the wait will be, but I’m eager for the next book.

Narration
Emily Durante has always read this series and I’ve really enjoyed narration. She has no issues with the ever growing cast filled with many men, women and creatures of all kinds. I always look forward to listening to this series and Durante is part of that reason. I can’t even imagine just reading this series without Durante.

**I'd like to thank the publisher for providing me with a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

The end was epic. The rest was a bit meh. I thought the mystery was terribly obvious and was just frustrated at them not thinking the obvious before they did. It's not like the reader got facts outside of their scope of knowledge. Everything was revealed by them, so why they couldn't put it together sooner sucked. Not the best book of the bunch. I hope the last one makes up for it.
