Po predchádzajúcej knihe som bola naozaj zvedavá, akým smerom bude táto séria pokračovať. A zákruta, po ktorej sa vydala autorka, ma vlastne až tak veľmi neprekvapila a vo svojej podstate som si to užívala. Len mi chýbal Nekros, to je super mesto a hlavne také, ktoré ma úplne inú dynamiku ako krajina Fae. Táto odlišná dynamika sa však preniesla aj do knihy, ktorá bola zo začiatku dosť lenivá, až kým sa to niekde v polovici konečne nezmenilo.

First half of the book was really slow, but thankfully the second made up for it.
What bugs me that the "urban" element was almost no-existent in this book. It takes place almost purely in Faerie, Alex barely uses her grave witch abilities and I gotta say, I grow tired of the trope where a character has such a cool an unique ability that eeeeeverybody wants him/her (usually her).
Also, it's usually not a bad thing, but... not enough Death in this book.

A solid and enjoyable entry in the series. I enjoy this series more when it focuses on the fae side of Alex's heritage, and this book was all fae politics, all the time. There is also some nice movement and resolution in some of the long-running story lines, which set up some interesting possibilities for future books in the series.

Another great book in one of my favorite urban fantasy series!
I love Alex and Falin. I also love the fae world in these books. This time I read some and listened to some, and I really enjoyed both. I thought the narrator was great.
If you like urban fantasy, give this series a go. You will love it!
