Kennedy Ryan does it again! Queen Move is an emotional romance between childhood friends Kimba and Ezra. You can feel the palpable connection between the two every time they are in the page together. These characters go through quite the journey over the years and it was nice getting them to their happy ending. In true Kennedy Ryan fashion there were many roadblocks- I could have done with a few less- but I still enjoyed reading it. I would recommend this book!

I really loved the storytelling. Imagine people who are mature enough to work on themselves and their baggage as individuals before trying to be a couple, what?!?

This novel was beautifully written and gave me all the feels. I love a destined friends to lovers romance. The only reason it didn’t get 5 stars was because of the last 20% of the book. Still got the HEA but it took a turn that I didn’t love.

Oof, I am so frustrated. This was a 4-5 star read for me until the twist/dark moment came starting about 3/4 of the way through. Then I was grumpy for pretty much the rest of the book. I felt like until that point, it had been character-driven, which I loved, and then all of a sudden it was plot-driven out of left field, and I didn't like the switch.

I agree with just about everything in Navessa's review, and will just link it here instead of copying it or accidentally plagiarizing it. :) To it, I would add
that I was pretty upset at the portrayal of Aiko. She felt like the needy, clingy ex, brought in to cause drama for drama's sake, and not really given the respect I thought she deserved as a woman in this story. And I had NO IDEA why she was excited about getting pregnant when she hasn't wanted to have another kid for the last 10 years?? Except maaaaybe as a way to try to "keep" Ezra, which I don't think is right, but is about all I could gather, in which case, MAJOR ick.

This book contains some spoilers in the background from the All the King's Men duology (The Kingmaker and The Rebel King), but definitely works as a standalone and you don't have to read those books to read this one, if you don't mind knowing a bit about what happens to the main characters from the previous book.

TW: Infertility, miscarriage

Oh my gosh, I LOVE Kimba and Ezra! Kimba is such a boss and Ezra is soooooo swoony! He’s such a great guy, wanting to do right by everyone (even when all the craziness goes down toward the end) and he’s such a great dad!

I listened to the audiobook and the narrators were fantastic, specifically Jakobi Diem. I just listened to Let Me Love You and Inevitable Conclusions and he was fantastic in those too!
