I think if I really tried I could have figured out this book at the beginning. An easy read but would not classify it as Christmas. Things jumped around in the story but it was easy to follow.

This was the opposite of a feel good Christmas romance but I did tear up at the end.

One December night, Josie is on her way to mail her deceased parents a Christmas letter, a tradition she has kept alive since they passed away on Christmas Eve when she was a little girl. She runs into Max (quite literally) on her bicycle. Over the next few days, they provide each other comfort and hopefulness that some need more than others around the Christmas holiday.
Max then leaves with no explanation and no follow-up call. Throughout the next year, fate brings them together a few times and it turns out that Max had a good reason to leave, but also would have had a good reason to stay.

So I’ll be honest. I didn’t love this book at all. I found it a little dull. Not sure if it’s because I’ve been so busy and barely had time to read or if I truly just wasn’t into it and that’s why it took me so long to get through it. The characters didn’t “wow” me at all. The storyline fell short as there really wasn’t much anticipation. The best part about this book for me was that it took place around Christmas, but even that was ruined with all of the sadness surrounding that time of year in this story.
Idk

Great read!

Book grabbed me from the start andvkept me intrested throughout. Love the plot and that its a little different. The characters are charming. I love it when the characters of a book are ones you wish you knew.
