This is my favourite. I mean what did you expect? IT’S MALEC OF COURSE IT’S MY FAVOURITE.

Max is so so so absolutely precious. My god. My heart. Malec dads is beautiful. I need more Rafe.

So many things happened in this one my emotions are all over the place. I was squealing because of the cuteness. I was crying because of the pain. I was worried. I was shocked. I’m not ok right now.

SpoilerRobert tho. Robert. Why did you have to put that part with Robert at the end? And now he’s dead and everything hurts.

Well this reignited my love for malec that's for sure. Also, we learned so much more about the history between the lost herondale and the faerie line. KIT IS GOING TO HONE ALL THAT POWER. WE ALSO HAVE THE PARABATAI MAGIC OF EMMA AND JULIAN, BUT QOAAD DOES NOT END WITH THE WORLD IN A GOOD PLACE, OR HEADING FOR THERE.

This book is perfection. It is everything I could have asked for, if you like Magnus and Alec you need to read this book. The family dynamic between them and Max is adorable. Rafe is so stubborn and determined but he is also young and scared, it is impossible not to love him. All the other characters in this book are great too and I enjoy following the search for the lost Herondale. There is one part in this story that is so sad but only if you have already read the Dark Artifices series. This is my favorite short story so far.

For some reason, this was the novella I was dreading the most and I was almost about to skip it and move on to my read of Queen of Air and Darkness but I'm so glad I changed my mind.

I've never been particularly fond of Alec but this story melted my heart. And Lily and Tessa and Jem. And Magnus and Max. That scene with Robert and Alec. And the plots and world building that continues to build and astonish me.

I think this one is definitely my favourite. Makes reading all these novellas worth it lol

Bless the Come-And-Stare family. They never fail me.

Lily's sexuality is the Carstairs and I completely understand.

This was honestly the best story of the entire collection. I teared up multiple times because it made me very emotional. It made me like Alec better too. I was not a very big fan of his in TMI (though I love his character in the tv series), but this story made me realised how much he has grown and changed as a person. His relationship with Magnus and their beautiful family made me emotional too. Family goals, am I right?

Also, it was nice as always to read about Tessa and Jem. Lily is super funny and I liked her a lot. Seeing how the relationships between the Downworlders and the Shadowhunters have changed, and seeing them being very good friends (in New York) made me really happy.
