Once again, love these girls. I feel like this is just an add-on to their last book. Still great though!

My review of the first [b:The Home Edit: A Guide to Organizing and Realizing Your House Goals|40712502|The Home Edit A Guide to Organizing and Realizing Your House Goals|Clea Shearer|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1547507298l/40712502._SX50_.jpg|63320483]big applies to this, too, and I wondered what this second book would provide that the first didn’t. The chapter titles answer this, basically giving the reader the go ahead to possess things when “it’s for self care”, “you need to stay plugged in”, “you’re always on the go”, “it’s for your work”, “you have kids”, “you have pets”, “you love to celebrate”, “it serves a purpose”, or “it makes you happy”. Then the chapters have examples, like the previous book, from “ordinary” and celebrity customers. It may be more list and step by step based (lighter on dense text) than the first book, but I think the first also had they step by step element in explaining the pictures. It’s essentially a response to the mistake of equating organization with minimalism (which, again, is an issue [a:Marie Kondō|5589647|Marie Kondō|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1451520607p2/5589647.jpg] responds to, also), which they address in their Intro. I also like how they address personality types, and how all household members interact with potential organizing.
I do think it’s one “plot hole”, if you will, that while obviously they can’t do their service for everyone who might want it and have written this book for people to do it themselves, all examples are given of how they did it for their customers. While they narrate their experience of some his and lows, they’re not really walking customers through how to do it all. It does sound the same as they presented in their tv show, which seemed more like a surprise home makeover show than a learn-how-to-organize.
Again, as in my review of the first book, this will probably work for and suit some people just fine, but I do think it’s a somewhat narrow audience.

I feel the same about this book as the previous book they wrote. A few good tips, but it's basically just a collection of Instagram photos with some name dropping. I didn't find much value in it so I'm glad that I got it from the library instead of buying it.

I loved this. so continuous, and satisfying, and so many photos! The friendship between the two authors is also really cute and uplifting. Sometimes the language is a bit...weird ("if you've used it in the past six months, then you've earned your right to keep it!") But I loved this and will be returning often for organizing inspiration :)
