Very bleak and evocative gothic novel with a sense of dread - you don't know who's a friend or a foe. Loved it !

Having just visited Jamaica Inn in Cornwall, I bought the book on site in the bookshop. And Ioved it, the sense of location is spot on and you are just transferred to the age of the smugglers. It's terrifying and adventurous, and the main character is a brilliantly brave young woman.

Abridged audio edition, Tamsin was a great narrator. The story was interesting, and I enjoyed listening (if tense at points!).
