It's nice that the next book was about Cadeon's brother.. it really made for a nice continuance. It was a very intriguing story.

This was a pretty good book, but I missed the interaction with more familiar characters. I really enjoy this couple though. Sabine & Rydstrom had quite a few challenges :)

Rydstrom & Sabine ... what a wonderful opposites attract troupe.

Sabine, while she's not really evil at heart ... she has no problem doing what she wants ... and what she must. She kidnaps Rydstrom to fulfill a prophecy. Let's just say things don't go according to her plans.

Lothair helps Rydstrom escape & turn the tables on Sabine. I love the little glimpses we get of Lothair in these earlier books :)

Sabine's sister Melanthe is also an interesting character. I love how close the sisters are, but how different they are from each other.

I ended up liking this book and Sabine in particular, but wow were there a lot of consent issues here…

Another great addition to the series!!! I enjoyed reading it again and will definitely revisit it in the future! I do warn others that this was very steamy (so read with caution (and not in a public place like me (it had me blushing like crazy))).

I absolutely loved Sabine and Lanthe! They were so funny and interesting! I definitely recommend this!

Sabine and Rydstrom

Another 5 star read by Kresley Cole.
Sabine is supposed to be unlikeable but I only loved her more for it. Her past and her strength made her perfect for Rydstrom. He needed someone to loosen him up and someone just as strong as he is.
The overarching storyline is great as well!

I loved this book.

I've liked Rydstorm since he was first introduced And I wasn't disappointed by his story.

I think what I like most about his series is that the "mates" are all of the lore. I get annoyed by books where they spend most of the story stressing over if their leading man is crazy or not. In this series there isn't any of that and I really like that.

Characterwise this is probably my favourite pairing but story wise, not so much. I got bored slightly by how very little happened. Yes they trekked through the desert and all that other stuff but it felt like nothing was happening.

Still a worthwhile read and I'll be reading the next in the series once I can get my hands on a copy.

I liked Sabine, if nothing else but because she stands up to the awful Valkyries (God, I hate Valkyries). Rydstrom was OK, I liked the dynamic these two got.
