Ash and Autumn's story was fantastic to listen to.

Full of uncertainty, hurt, hope, and absolutely addictive, this book was gone in less than 24 hours.

That twist near the end? TOTALLY unexpected.

Teddy and Sarah did such a fantastic job with narration that I will definitely be diving into the next book asap.

Drama
Young Adult / New Romance

I liked this book - ya romance is one of my favorite categories and this book did not disappoint. It reminded a lot about books that Tijan writes and she is one of favorite ya authors.

“I wake up and you’re on my mind. I go to sleep thinking about you. Sometimes I even dream about you, and those are always a trip, because we’re usually together, and I’m doing my best to fuck it up, yet you stick around. Like you’re really into me or something.”

I just couldn’t stay focus with this book. I got bored really fast with it. It might have been because it’s high schoolers. But I just didn’t enjoy it like I thought I would.

Asher and Autumn had such a cute love story. This a quick but really fun high school romance. I loved all the different povs and listening to the audio was great! I don’t really have much to comment on other than the fact that this is a classic bad boy, good girl hs sports romance. I def enjoyed it and can’t wait to continue with the series!

Cute story.

I wasn’t sure what this was about when I saw it posted somewhere. It’s a cute high school football story. It honestly reminds me of a gentle, younger version of After.

Updating with audio review:

I have just loved the audio narration of this series- the vocal performance really bring to live the teenage feelings and angst of this story. Like my prior read, I really loved Autumn as a character-the tensions she feels in trying to be the person she thinks she’s supposed to be, the need to “fit in.” I found her so relatable. Her story with Ash is a bit drawn out, and I wish we’d gotten his perspective more (the later books in the series have alternating POVs, and that's more of my personal preference). We have a bit of unnecessary drama, like so many new adult/mature YA stories, but at the heart we have two characters growing up, figuring out who they are, and trying to figure out how to fit into each other’s lives. And i really loved getting to be in Drew’s head- and meeting the whole Callahan crew.

The female narrator is just fantastic- captures the whole spirit of Autumn.

i feel like the sypnosis is just totally off on this one? asher was an asshole which sucks but he had his nicer moments. and honestly at least the author did a good job of making him apologize? and autumn standing up for herself? but tbh you go into this knowing they’re toxic so if it’s a shock to you thats mostly your fault

Loved this author since the beginning, and now we have Drew and Fables kids to love and adore! Great story with a HEA!
