Tessa Bailey is one of my favorites and this series is just not it. This entire series is off somehow and my least fav books for hers by far. I was hoping Sage could redeem this one but I struggled to get beyond the awkward relationship of Sage and Bel.

Nope. There’s a reason it took me 6 months to get through this one. I just couldn’t connect with the characters the way I felt I could with the others in this series.

A very sweet finale to the series with a lot of innocence and angst… and it was all a bit melodramatic for me.

I truly enjoyed this series and Tessa is one of my favorite authors, she is so goddamn good at what she does! But I found the tension between Belmont and Sage to be just that. Tense. I didn’t find it sexy or romantic. Their codependency throughout and lack of growth with that by the end was a bit off putting for me. I also found the plotline in Sibley with her parents just felt like filler.

All that being said, I was waiting for Belmont’s story and was glad to finally hear his side of everything. I absolutely loved the last 4 chapters. The siblings reuniting, seeing where everyone ended up and how they were living their happily ever afters. Like I said, a very sweet finale, just not my favorite in the series.

Also, shoutout Libby and shoutout Tessa for writing about her character with a real sense of grace.

My final ratings (in order from favorite to least) for Romancing the Clarksons:

Too Hard to Forget: 4.25⭐️
Too Close to Call: 4⭐️
Too Hot to Handle: 3.75⭐️
Too Beautiful to Break: 3.5⭐️
Too Wild to Tame: 2.25⭐️

Belmont and Sage have an interesting relationship. I loved their story even though at times it felt a bit too fantastical. Proceed with caution if you are not a spicy/steamy person because Tessa Bailey is Queen of the spice! I thought this was so cute and I love a good interconnected series that center around siblings!

So many eye rolls.
SPOILERS ….

Really - they both had to be virgins? And this nonsense of him never masturbating. And getting pregnant during their second time having sex. This was overly dramatic and could have just led to them getting married.
Too heavy handed compared to her other books.
