This book strayed so far from the plot you couldn’t even see it if you wanted to…

This is truly painful to read. I saw an out of context quote on reels and wanted to give it a try and it's just been a miserable experience. I hate the characters, the pacing is terribly slow, the dialogue is stilted and awkward and half the time I'm just plain confused. The worst part is I went into it in the mood for something kind of bad to read for the vibes. Unfortunately the vibes are not vibing.

Honestly just kinda pissed me off reading it. They would say things that didn’t make sense and do stupid things. Also he
proposed to her on the one year anniversary of her brothers death (that is insane)

I downloaded this book based off a TikTok from the author. I’m a sucker for brother’s best friend.

Whew boy, where to start. I think I read 2 different books under 1 title. This started out a delicious little Romcom. But by the ending we took a straight 270 and veered left into something emotional that wasn’t really at the beginning? The premise is the FMC wants her brother’s best friend (MMC) to take her virginity.
Now he does, I think around 60% mark. So whoa, early conflict resolution and I think this is where it started to veer off.
I LOVED the beginning of this book. The banter was ✨perfection✨ I haven’t read banter that good in a long, long time. The FMC was adorably quirky and then lost it half way through the book. Like she got a personality transplant. Then the end happened and ok, I can see where it went where it did. Full circle for the MMC. But the epilogue was unnecessary and completely unbelievable. Ruined the book for me. I was hate reading it at the end.

Finally getting around to reviewing this one!

From the very beginning I knew this was going to be a good book! It waste no time getting down to it where after not seeing her brothers ex-best friend/foster brother for over 3 years to begging him/ bribing him to take her v-card! With that being said from the very beginning you are rooting for her to get her wish!

So many secrets and build up had me wanting and waiting for more! And just when you think things are finally right in the world and they are going to get their HEA, Meagan takes you for a turn and you are left shocked with the turn if events! But don't worry there is an HEA!

I feel in love with the overprotective, broody Crew and Davis is his perfect opposite match. I also not only fell in love with Crew and Davis but all the side characters as well! My favorite line from the book is from one of Crews friends "Ain't we keeping her?" The way his friends just took her in as one of their own had me melting!

I would definitely recommend this and not to mention Meagan did turn up the spice level on this compared to her other books!
