It’s very much a bridge story, to get from the first book to the third

I really enjoyed this book. I can't decide if I prefer this one of the first book in the series.

This starts with Eve escaping from the tower where she has spent her entire life and is now free.

She is with the 'freevers' but realises they now have her dad held prisoner in the tower and wants to go back to get him.

I loved the relationship between her and Bram. This time we also followed Michal, one of the guards. I loved listening to his chapters and how hard it was for him to make some of the decisions he had to make.

I loved the twists and the ending was great and now I can't wait to pick up book number 3 when it is published.
