"I didn’t have to fall in love with you, Zoey. I’ve always loved you. I just hadn’t found you yet. Now that I have, I’m not letting you go."

- small town
- inn owner x author guest
- single dad
- dual pov

Room For Us follows Zoey, our soon-to-be-divorced heroine, who returns to her small Idaho hometown from NYC when her aunt leaves her the local inn in her will. She doesn't expect her first guest to be a famous single dad author who books the entire inn for six weeks to finish writing his next overdue hit. However, the forced proximity causes the pair to fall hard for each other.

Halloran beautifully explores grief, starting over, and healing together through Zoey and Ethan's love story. Ethan sees and accepts Zoey in a way her ex never did: "He sees me not as I could or should or might be, but as I am." Meanwhile, Zoey's openness allows Ethan to share the things in his past that haunt him.

I'm very much looking forward to book two!

I just didn't expect to love this story so much, but here I'm. I'm in love. ♥

I’ve seen this book on Instagram and I’m so glad I finally read it. I haven't read any of Laura's books before this one, but I heard about her two years ago and after everything that happened to her, I have to say I admire her… * if you read the book, don't skip the author's acknowledgment at the end.

Freshly divorced, Zoey returns to her hometown after her aunt's sudden death, leaving her the Rose House Inn. The Inn is in dire need of renovation. Zoey is focused on restoring its old glow and finding herself again.
The author of the bestseller, Ethan Hart, is under great pressure and a writer's blockade in his efforts to write the last book of his most successful series. To find inspiration, he decides to run away from the city to Idaho and rent the entire Inn for six weeks.
Despite initial disagreements, Zoey and Ethan embark on a relationship they are both aware has an expiration date… she doesn’t want to leave Idaho and he can’t leave NY. But six weeks can change everything.

‘Room for us’ is a wonderful story about redemption, love, second chances.
When I finished reading, I was really surprised when I realized that the book has only 237 pages and is so complete in the sense that the author managed to convey to us so well the characters, their hopes, dreams, traumas, internal struggles and so realistically tells the whole story.
Lastly, to love someone, you must first love yourself. ♥

“Love doesn’t care about timing or whether we’re ready for it. It shows up when it wants, where it wants, and asks only one thing of us—to be brave. And if you’re brave, no matter what happens, you’ll know that you chose love, and you won’t have regrets.”

This book touched a piece of my soul. I refuse to give a broad synopsis of a book. You can find that in the description. I like to tell how books make me feel.

Oh boy, this book made me feel. There is so much pain written within the pages, yet hope shines through also. It's like an accountability for decisions, either made or made for us. It's the ability to find humor when none seems to exist. I lived (yes lived) every word.

The joy of watching Zoey and Ethan find their way through a lifetime of hurts, confusion, vulnerability, fear and avoidance was breathtaking. The supporting characters gave a depth to this books that made you feel like you were part of the community and cheering for the "prodigal" daughter. I loved and would highly recommend this brilliant five ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️read.

This book... my God. I was asked if I would read an ARC of this book. At first I was going to pass. Ms. Halloran is a new author to me but I knew her story. And if I could help her by reading and reviewing, I'd do it.

In Room for Us, we meet Zoey and Ethan. Two beautifully broken people who together face their fears, their skeletons, and come together to make something beautiful. The story flows flawlessly and I couldn't put it down. I'm not one to typically continue reading a book past bed time, but I had to force myself to put this down or I wouldn't be able to handle my toddler (mom life, am I right?). This book is for sure one I'd reread. It was so easy to read, so smooth.

This book was beautiful. Moving. All the feels. This may be the first I've read of Halloran but it's definitely not the last. I'll be reading more of her amazing mind.

I loved the small-town hallmark romance feel of this book. Zoey and Ethan are two broken people who have been dealt some bad hands but they both needed to find themselves. I felt so attached to the characters and the story. This book is filled with Love, healing, and hope it was so beautifully written. I was glued to the pages I couldn't put them down. I love a good epilogue and it did not disappoint.

I have no words to express my feelings for this story,
I loved the heroine for her beautiful kind soul and her resilience to be herself and live what makes her happy in life. I loved how the hero realised that there’s much more life in a small setting that the Big Apple.
Their banter, interaction and chemistry was made to perfection and it’s definitely one of those books that will stay with me for a long time.
Highly recommended

ARC received for an honest review

It has been a while since we have had a new L.M Halloran story (and if you have followed Ms Halloran on social media for the past year, it is completely understandable that we haven't had anything for a while)

She has come back with a bang with Room For Us.

Zoey and Ethan's story will have you laughing, smiling, frustrated, crying, and falling in love.

It made me want to buy a run down B & B and hope that my own Ethan comes to stay!

It is beautiful watching our lovelies overcome the crap from their past, and finding love. They and their problems are completely relatable, and they will tug at your heartstrings.

I really adored Room For Us, and I am looking forward to more books from Ms Halloran in the future.
