i am surprised i had the patience for actually finishing this like the main characters were soo much insufferable. they all just had one personality trait and like run with it. alex and molly had no chemistry at all. other than that there were all these stereotypes about lesbians ?! another thing was that they added these "gen-z" jokes which i don't even want to comment on. overall this book was really testing my anger issues.

I loved reading this book so much! I absolutely fell in love with the characters in the book, even though it was a shorter read I thought the character development was done really well. The slow build up to their eventual romance was PERFECT! I also loved the way this book demonstrated the struggles of being a child of an alcoholic. It was also all very real to what starting college is like and the unique pressures that surround it. I also really liked how even though there were characters that did problematic things or didn't get along with the main characters, they were never villanized as all bad. That really helps to humanize characters and made the book easy to understand in these complexities of good and bad. I really hope there is a sequel to this book! I want to learn more about what happens when they are actually together obviously, but also about Molly's dorm friends, Alex's roommate, and Alex's mom's recovery. I will be recommending this book to everyone!

I really liked this book, it was really fun and the whole thing was really entertaining to read.
I wasn't really a fan of the fact that Molly spent the ENTIRE book fawning over Cora just to reject her when she realized she liked Alex, but it's not the most unrealistic thing and I know feelings are confusing so it honestly wasn't that annoying.

I liked the story and the sort of I'll-do-yours-if-you-do-mine thing that was going on, and I'm happy with who everyone ended up with. I did like that while it was a generally fun book there were parts of it that took a darker/ more realistic side and I really enjoyed that.
Overall it was very good and I really liked it :)
