Ok so shoot me! I had a week of feeling physically sick and couldn’t focus on anything of substance. One day I was scrolling through my Libby app and this popped up as available and so I read it. It actually wasn’t as bad as the original Twilight. The whole story might have been better told from Edwards point of view! So much less teenage angst!
Bumped the rating up .25 because I had an enjoyable buddy read.

I really enjoyed reading the story of twilight from Edwards’s perspective. It gave more insight into the Cullen family and my favorite parts of the book were learning about Edward’s and Alice’s powers working together. Also hearing more details about Jasper’s abilities was intriguing. This book could have been a lot more effective though without so much repetitiveness. It could be half the length without losing any depth because every other page was Edward talking about how he’s no good for Bella but he loves her, he should leave her but doesn’t have the strength. This same dialogue occurred SO often, it lost it’s impact. Overall if you enjoyed the original Twilight series, this is a nice edition to it.
This was a fun, short read. I’ve been revisiting YA books I loved back in the early 2000’s and so this was a weird trip down memory lane, from Edward’s POV.
