The illustrations in this book are beautiful and the colors so vibrant. The rhymes are so fun to read. I docked a star for instances of incorrectly depicting how one is supposed to be dressed whilst praying/reading the Qur'an.

A double-whammy of education. Beautiful, lush illustrations showcase colors and each color is paired with a piece of Muslim tradition.

I love children's books that introduce kids to different cultures, but I think this one--while beautiful--missed the mark a little bit. While I understand there's a word limit in picture books, I think some of the definitions should have been worked into the story itself, instead of treated as an aside.

A color book about much more. Items important in the authors' Muslim faith are described on the pages with beautiful illustrations, and defined in a glossary at the back. A lovely book that should be included in all elementary school libraries.
